Heidelberg Materials Mineralik DE GmbH once again achieved certification at the level “Gold” from the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) for twelve of its sand and gravel plants. With this achievement, Heidelberg Materials Mineralik reaffirms — for the third consecutive time — its commitment to responsible raw material extraction.
All Heidelberg Materials Mineralik plants continue to hold CSC-certification at the level Gold. The certified plants thus meet very high standards in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and corporate governance, such as required by the CSC.
“The renewed CSC-certification at the level Gold underlines the high level of commitment shown by our teams on site,” says Philipp Scheidel, Head of Performance Management at Heidelberg Materials Mineralik, who is responsible for the CSC certification. Vanessa Menrath, Performance Manager and responsible for implementing this year’s CSC certification, also highlights the significance of the recertification: “For us, recertification serves as an important benchmark for continuously reviewing our performance and systematically driving its further development.”
CSC certification offers clear added value: it creates transparency regarding the origin and extraction of mineral raw materials and provides recognized proof of responsible sourcing. As an internationally recognized sustainability standard, CSC certifications support clients, planners, and contractors in meeting sustainability criteria in tenders and reliably implementing sustainable construction projects.
