R-Module

What is the R-Module?

The R-Module has been introduced because the use of certified concrete with recycled aggregates is awarded points in various building certification systems (including BREEAM and DGNB).

From now on, concrete producers holding, among others, a CSC certificate (Silver or higher) can be certified according to the R-module. The CSC R-module is expressed in the certificate by a supplementary “R” label.

To obtain the supplementary certificate for the CSC R module, the following 5 criteria must be met as a basic requirement.

Prerequirements for the R-Module

R1

Responsible resource extraction

R2

Traceable R material origin

R3

Use of recycled aggregates

R4

Quality Management

R5

Minimum content of R-material

The R-module assessment criteria are published in the CSC “R-module” manual that can be found
