The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) was honored to participate in BETON 2025, where the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association (THBB), CSC’s Regional System Operator in Türkiye since 2017, organized an excellent and highly engaging event that brought together key leaders from the national and international concrete sector.
On 13 November 2025, THBB hosted a special award ceremony to distribute the latest CSC Certificates achieved in Türkiye. Receiving Platinum-level CSC certification were Akçansa AGG Bursa Aggregate Plant and Limak Cement’s Anka Cement Plant.
Gold-level CSC certification was awarded to Çimsa’s Mersin and Eskişehir Cement Plants, Alton Beton’s Şile Aggregate Plant and Şile Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant, Danış Madencilik Aggregate Plant, Çimsa Misis Ready-Mixed Concrete Plant, Akçansa Betonsa’s Nilüfer and Gebze Ready-Mixed Concrete Plants, Albayrak Beton Yenidoğan Plant, Akçansa’s Büyükçekmece and Ladik Cement Plants, Alevtaş Madencilik Saray Aggregate Plant, and Limak Cement’s Güvercinlik Plant.
Silver-level certification was granted to Medcem’s Silifke Cement Plant and İSTON’s Tuzla Plant, while Bronze-level certification was awarded to Seza Cement’s Elazığ Plant, Nuh Beton’s İzmit Plant, and Çimko Beton’s Altınşehir, Osmaniye and Kahramanmaraş Plants
Türkiye now counts 28 active CSC Certificates, reflecting the growing adoption of internationally recognized sustainability practices across the country’s cement and concrete industry.
The ceremony brought together prominent representatives of THBB and industry stakeholders, including THBB Chairman Yavuz Işık; the THBB Board of Directors and Supervisory Board; Secretary General Reşat Sönmez; Dr. Aslı Özbora, General Coordinator; Koray Saçlıtüre, Technical and Sustainability Director; and Çağlar Şaşmaz, Director of KGS. The CSC was represented by Cynthia Imesch, Sustainability Manager and Coordinator.
As part of the BETON 2025 Summit, Cynthia spoke in the panel “The Future of the Global Ready Mixed Concrete Industry and Sustainability,” moderated by İlker Koç (Akçansa; THBB Board Member). The discussion featured:
