Heidelberg Materials Benelux recently obtained Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) certifications for 24 of its concrete plants in Belgium. All 24 plants were awarded CSC certification at the level Gold.
At the same time 22 plants also obtained the CO2-module level 4 (maximum level of this voluntary add-on focusing specifically on the reduction of GHG emissions associated with concrete production). With these achievements, Heidelberg Materials Benelux continues showing its commitment and efforts for sustainable development along the value chain.
The recertification of the sites, after successful recertifications in previous years of Cement and Aggregate sites in Benelux, further underscores Heidelberg Materials Benelux’s commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental protection in all its operations. These results were made possible through production processes that meet high quality, safety and environmental standards.
