At BAU München 2025, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) will once again highlight its leadership to advancing sustainable construction. Taking place from January 13 to 17, the DGNB will present a special exhibition under the theme “This Is How Sustainable Building Works.” Featuring an entirely sustainably implemented stand, the event offers attendees a rich program of interactive workshops and lectures exploring various facets of sustainable construction. Guided by the motto “We don’t always need to reinvent the wheel,” the DGNB and its extensive network of experts will focus on practical, calm, and holistic knowledge-sharing.
Key highlights include a comprehensive conference program, free guided tours of the exhibition, and networking opportunities with pioneers in sustainable building.
We are excited to announce that Michael Scharpf, Vice Chair of the CSC; Cynthia Imesch, Coordinator and Sustainability Manager; and Andreas Phan, representative of the German Ready Mixed Concrete Association BTB which is CSC’s Regional System Operator in Germany, will be present at the DGNB stand on January 15, 2025, from 12:00 to 12:30. During this time, we will proudly award the first Platinum CSC Version 3.0 certificates to concrete manufacturers who have demonstrated leadership in sustainability.
Version 3.0 of the CSC Certification, launched at the beginning of 2024, is the result of a close collaboration with the DGNB among other stakeholders. This updated version reflects our shared commitment to increasing compliance with DGNB’s quality standards, particularly DGNB criterion ENV 1.3 “Sustainable resource extraction” as part of the ongoing recognition process.
This significant milestone showcases the synergy between CSC and DGNB in shaping a future for sustainable construction. By recognizing these outstanding achievements, the CSC aims to inspire others in the industry to adopt sustainable practices and to emphasize the importance of collaboration in achieving global sustainability goals.
