The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) is pleased to announce that NSF has been officially approved as the first U.S.-based certification body for CSC in North America. This milestone expands the availability of credible sustainability certification services across the region’s concrete sector, particularly for producers of ready-mixed and precast concrete.
With its deep expertise in standards development, product testing, and third-party certification, NSF strengthens the CSC certification system by offering robust, science-based assessments rooted in transparency and environmental stewardship.
“NSF is excited to currently be an approved certification body for the Concrete Sustainability Council in the North American market, providing independent, science-based verification to establish credibility in the sustainability marketplace,” says Justin Brown, Senior Manager of Sustainability at NSF.
“NSF certification to the Concrete Sustainability Council’s standard verifies that companies are sourcing their precast and ready-mixed concrete in a responsible manner—creating a comprehensive approach to sustainability that the market needs. Just as NSF has helped other sectors improve their practices through third-party certification, we’re equally committed to bringing that same level of transparency and accountability to concrete production.”
NSF joins CSC’s international network of approved certification bodies, reinforcing the Council’s mission to promote responsible sourcing, social accountability, and environmental performance throughout the concrete value chain.
