Bestcon B.V. Achieves CSC Gold Certification for Precast Operations

July 17, 2025

The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) is proud to announce that Bestcon B.V., a prominent precast concrete producer in the Netherlands, has achieved CSC Gold Certification for its production site — a significant recognition of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

This certification was carried out by KIWA, an accredited Certification Body, with Richie Hilgerom serving as the lead auditor. The process was overseen in the Netherlands by Betonhuis, the official Regional System Operator (RSO) for the CSC certification scheme.

Ronald Keurntjes, Managing Director of Bestcon, expressed his pride in the achievement:
“Achieving CSC Gold confirms that we are on the right course. We have been investing in people, the environment, and our processes for years. This gold certification demonstrates that Bestcon meets the highest international sustainability standards — something we can be truly proud of. For our clients, this means that building with Bestcon delivers not only high quality, but also responsibility and a future-oriented approach.”

The CSC certification evaluates a wide range of sustainability criteria across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions. Achieving the Gold level indicates outstanding performance and leadership in sustainable practices.

Marijn van Lingen, Sustainability Manager at Bestcon, highlighted the broader scope of the company’s sustainability efforts:
“Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond CSC. We are developing LCAs for specific Bestcon products. Once finalized, they will provide clients with reliable data to support environmental assessments. Combined with our CSC Gold certification, this helps them comply with sustainability regulations and standards. It also guides our own emission reduction efforts. In this way, we strengthen both our own and our clients’ sustainability goals on multiple levels.”

The CSC warmly congratulates the Bestcon team on this important achievement and thanks Betonhuis and KIWA for their contributions to a robust and transparent certification process.
