On 17 June 2025, the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) hosted the inaugural meeting of its newly established Advisory Committee, marking an important milestone in CSC’s commitment to expanding its reach and relevance in global sustainable construction.

Chaired by Kay Killmann (Managing Director, GBCI), the committee brings together a diverse group of experienced professionals dedicated to advancing sustainability in the built environment. The founding members include:

Christian Donath – Managing Director, ECO Platform
Lauren Wallace – Director of Sustainability, Epsten Group, a Salas O’Brien Company
Matthew Carli – Director of Business Development, 3D Printing at Putzmeister
Simone Stürwald – Professor for Sustainable Concrete and Structures, OST University, Switzerland

During the meeting, members shared their expertise and motivations for supporting CSC’s work. The CSC management team also provided an overview of current priorities and presented key thematic focus areas, including academic outreach, stakeholder engagement, and first ideas for a U.S. market growth strategy.

The Advisory Committee will serve as a strategic sounding board to support CSC’s continuous development, innovation, and impact across the concrete and construction value chain.
