Alpacem Austria, a leader in cement, concrete, and raw materials in the Alpe-Adria region, has achieved CSC Silver Certification for its sustainable production practices across seven key sites. This prestigious certification from the Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) underscores Alpacem’s commitment to sustainability and responsible production throughout its value chain.

The CSC Silver Certification has been awarded to Alpacem’s two cement production sites in Wietersdorf and Peggau, three concrete production facilities in Klagenfurt, Gröbming, and Deutschlandsberg, and two aggregate production sites in Peggau and Grafenstein near Klagenfurt. This accomplishment highlights Alpacem’s role as a regional pioneer in sustainable concrete manufacturing.

Alpacem’s successful certification reflects rigorous evaluation across corporate governance, environmental impact, social responsibility, economic performance, and supply chain standards, aligning with CSC’s global sustainability objectives. Leveraging extensive experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001 management systems, Alpacem was able to fulfill the certification’s demands efficiently, meeting stringent sustainability criteria for each certified site.

“This certification sends a strong signal of our commitment to sustainable practices deeply embedded in our strategy,” says Alpacem Managing Director Lutz Weber. “Achieving CSC Silver was made possible by the dedication of our team and a unified approach within the Alpacem Group.” The CSC certification reinforces Alpacem’s leadership in promoting sustainable building materials across Austria and the region.
