The Concrete Sustainability Council (CSC) has awarded new certifications to ten ready-mixed concrete and aggregate plants in Türkiye in June. These certifications, implemented by the Turkish Ready Mixed Concrete Association (THBB), were issued under the CSC Certification System, with the Economic Enterprise of KGS serving as the Certification Body.
Aggregate Plants:
AKCANSA Bursa Aggregate Plant: Achieved the prestigious “Platinum” level certification, making it the first in Türkiye to receive this highest level of recognition. AKCANSA is a joint venture of Sabanci Holding and HeidelbergCement.
ALTON BETON Sile Aggregate Plant: Awarded the “Gold” level certification.
DANIS Madencilik Kemerburgaz Aggregate Plant: Successfully achieved the “Gold” level certification.
Ready Mixed Concrete Plants:
AKCANSA Nilufer Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Certified at the “Gold” level.
ALBAYRAK HAZIR BETON Yenidogan Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Earned the “Gold” level certification.
ALTON BETON Sile Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Recognized with a “Gold” level certification.
CIMSA Misis Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Achieved the “Gold” level certification.
CIMKO Kahramanmaras Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Received a “Bronze” level certification.
CIMKO Altınsehir Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Awarded the “Bronze” level certification.
CIMKO Osmaniye Ready Mixed Concrete Plant: Certified at the “Bronze” level.
These certifications highlight the commitment of these plants to sustainable practices and the improvement of concrete production standards in Türkiye. The CSC’s certification system ensures that concrete production meets rigorous environmental, social, and governance criteria, contributing to a more sustainable construction industry.
