Certifications Bodies

List of Certification Bodies

CSC does not issue certificates on its own, independent certification bodies carry out the assessments which lead to a csc certification. A certification body is a company which has concluded a License Agreement with CSC and is the organization that issues the responsible sourcing certificates and scores based on the CSC Certification System.

In order to become a Certification Body- companies must contact CSC directly on info@csc.eco.

These are the basic requirements in order to be eligible:

Accreditation proof: To become a CB the company has to show a proof of accreditation in accordance with ISO 17021 or ISO 17065 from an accreditation body recognized by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF-MLA).

Auditor Qualifications: Auditors must meet the standards of the accreditation and have knowledge of aggregate, cement, and concrete production to:

Explain CSC certification methodology and requirements.

Understand the risks in the production process related to CSC certification.

Evaluate client fulfillment of CSC requirement

Oversight and continuous improvement:
CBs undergo onboarding training before conducting assessments, participate in quarterly meetings with CSC, and are subject to random audits of their completed audits. These reviews are carried out to detect any errors and ensure corrective actions are implemented, maintaining the integrity and consistency of the certification process. These notes are available only for auditors in a password protected page.

Guidance notes are also regularly published and publicly available under ressources to support stakeholders
