January 23, 2025

Mixto Listo, Agreca and Cementos Progreso have achieved the rigorous and highly recognized Concrete Sustainability CSC Certification at the end of 2024 for 10 plants in total. This milestone recognizes the companies’ leadership in sustainable practices that are transforming the construction industry and positively impacting communities and the environment.

The certifications, which cover concrete, cement, and aggregates, were celebrated in an award ceremony last Friday on the 17th January 2025. Gustavo Beltrán, representing our Regional System Operator in the Region, FIHP, distributed the certifications on behalf of the CSC, highlighting the companies’ holistic approach to responsible sourcing.

“This recognition highlights the leadership of our business units in practices that transform the construction industry and generate a positive impact on communities and the environment,” stated a Progreso representative. “It guarantees customers that their trust in Progreso is supported by transparent and responsible processes across the entire value chain.”

CSC certification is recognized by the Green Building label C.A.S.A. in Guatemala, reinforcing its importance in advancing sustainable construction. This achievement positions Mixto Listo, Agreca, and Cementos Progreso as pioneers in driving a shift toward environmentally conscious building practices in the region.

The Concrete Sustainability Council looks forward to expanding its certification program across Latin America, further supporting sustainable construction practices and contributing to the growth of a greener, more responsible industry.
