The biggest challenge to ensure that CSC-certification continues to meet the increasing societal challenges is to regularly consider the knowledge and views of different interest groups and to find the right balance between a globally uniform framework and considering local practices. Discussions with interest groups such as Civil Society Organisations, Industry associations and Academics, and listening to and acknowledging their feedback were very important for the CSC when preparing and validating the next version of CSC-certification.
The stakeholder consultation conducted over the past two months was an important milestone for the CSC to keep track with latest developments and to promote emerging sustainability practices that support the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
After the release of the current CSC system version 2.1 on January 1st, 2021, the CSC is now ready to launch version 3.0 on January 1st, 2024.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank all our active stakeholders that have taken part in the consultation for CSC system version 3.0 for providing their expertise and know-how! With their engagement, our stakeholders have contributed to the CSC’s mission in bringing CSC-Certification to the next level and to make a major step forward in supporting the sector’s transition towards producing carbon neutral concrete and achieving circularity.
