September 6, 2023

Calcestruzzi SpA (Italy), part of the Heidelberg Materials Group, recently certified all concrete plants of its Ancona production Cluster, comprising the plants of Loreto, Ancona, Falconara and Villa Potenza-Macerata, respectively. All the plants achieved certification at the level Silver.

The CSC certified plants are located in Central Italy’s Marche region. They now enable the supply of responsibly sourced concrete in highway and port works, such the new section of the Adriatic highway linking Ancona Port and the revamp of the port, and to Italian Green Public Procurement (C.A.M) compliant projects.

Giovanni Pinto, Quality Engineer at Italcementi and Calcestruzzi: “We are very pround of our new CSC certifications. Undergoing CSC certification allows us to highlight the sustainability properties of concrete, to contribute to the acknowledgement of this unique construction material in our society and to expand our offering of responsible sourced concrete throughout Italy.”
