Heidelberg Sand und Kies (HSK) recently accomplished a comprehensive CSC-certification campaign in Germany: thirteen aggregates production sites located in Penig, Neupotz, Hagenbach, Rheinstetten, Wiesental, Königs Wusterhausen, Müncheberg, Drahnsdorf, Lindwerder, Damsdorf, Liedolsheim and Otterstadt, successfully confirmed their CSC-certification. Additionally, the production site at Zwickau was CSC-certified for the first time with the aim to complement HSK’s network of CSC-certified aggregate production sites.
“CSC-certificates at the level Gold as obtained by HSK’s fourteen production sites help concrete producers to boost their own CSC score” explains Philipp Scheidel, Senior Business Process Manager at HSK. “With the recognition of CSC-certification in leading Green Building labels, such as DGNB or LEED, supplying certified concrete improves the scoring of Green Building projects. Using CSC-certified aggregates will provide additional value.”
